THE PUBLICATION

Evidence, examples and corrections

A useful pay guide tells you not only what a source says, but also which question it cannot answer.

Prefer the source closest to the claim

We use official provider material for public brand and program descriptions, the CFPB for general consumer information, and relevant government sources for general labor or recordkeeping context. An official page can describe a product without proving which terms apply to an individual worker. We do not substitute a marketing statement for a cardholder agreement.

Keep three kinds of information distinct

  • Public source facts: bounded statements with a link and a source-check date.
  • Program-dependent questions: details that need the actual employer, issuer, agreement or state context.
  • Original editorial methods: checklists, examples and arithmetic that help organize information but do not verify a record or decide a case.

Handle a name transition carefully

On October 21, 2026, the official Corpay Prepaid page announced the transition from Fintwist while retaining the older name in some card guidance. We therefore keep “Fintwist card” as a useful reader term, identify the new public branding and avoid claiming that every account document changed at once.

Dates are not guarantees

A source-check date records when a public reference was reviewed. It is not the effective date of a law, the last update of every underlying document or a promise of continuing monitoring. If direct source access is limited, the source notes identify that limit rather than claiming a complete inspection. No private account screens were inspected.

Examples and the worksheet

Examples are fictional. The worksheet compares entered amounts in integer cents; it does not calculate tax, establish wage entitlement or verify the identity of a deposit. A numerical match is not a legal or financial assurance. Readers should not submit private records to this publication to validate an example.

Corrections

Send the article URL, disputed statement and relevant public source to morales@gmail.com. A correction should preserve the distinction between changed public information and a different employer’s situation. Material factual changes should be reflected in the article and source notes. We do not publish private case files or promise individual support.
